About
CROOBLE Urban Advisory operates on the most complex, contested and high-visibility schemes in UK and international urban development – where the technical answer is rarely the hard part. The hard part is the politics, the stakeholders and the commercial reality, and the work of making all three move in the same direction.
The practice draws on more than two decades in real estate and planning across public sector, private sector, and political spheres, managing large complex real estate developments in London and abroad.
That experience is brought to bear on the things that sit between the boxes – the consents, agreements, relationships, and judgement calls that decide whether a scheme moves or stalls.
Founder & Managing Director, CROOBLE
CROOBLE was founded by Gordon Adams, a senior industry figure with over 20 years’ experience operating at the highest levels of the UK and international real estate, planning and regeneration sectors.
Gordon spent over a decade in senior public-sector roles in the UK and internationally, including advising the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, on developments of strategic importance to London. This period gave him deep insight into government, policy formation, political decision-making and the realities of navigating complex public-sector environments.
Prior to establishing CROOBLE, Gordon spent 12 years at Battersea Power Station Development Company, where he led Planning and Stakeholder Strategy across one of Europe’s most complex and high-profile regeneration projects. During this period, he played a central role in securing major planning consents, negotiating complex Section 106 agreements, shaping infrastructure delivery (including the Northern Line Extension), and enabling landmark commercial deals across the new Town Centre.
Alongside his role at Battersea, Gordon also served two terms as an independent Planning Committee Member for the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation, providing strategic oversight and decision-making on some of London’s most significant emerging regeneration areas.
